Zoé’s work focuses on craftsmanship, material research and reuse. Through her ongoing
project Bandwerk, she explores rhythm, repetition and texture by weaving discarded bicycle inner tubes into functional and sculptural objects.
Bandwerk gets its name from a play on repetition, the steady rhythm of weaving and the resilient loops of bicycle inner tubes. It weaves together Belgian craftsmanship with the poetry of reuse, giving new life to the cast-offs of cycling culture.
